Once you get out, you will be amazed and how many things there are to do in Delaware!! |
No one can make your life better, more interesting, happier, more
fun but you. No one is looking around for a life to jump start. Therefore, if you want to
find or keep a soulmate, you must to have something to share. "But I'm alone," you whine. "I'm single ... or my significant other won't go with me ...or I just moved here and don't have friends to go with me ...or ...There aren't any places that I can go alone." Wait just a minute. Your area of Delaware is full of places where people go alone; single people go alone; attached--even married people go without their significant other; new-to-town goes without a friend in sight. |

Instead of whining, why not get off your butt and go!
Do two things: 1. The museums in Delaware are abundant. Pick at least one this month and spend a Saturday or Sunday afternoon there. Some have nominal costs. Some are even free! If you see someone else alone, try to start a conversation. "Are you new to this area, too?" "I have never been here before. Have you?" Most people wandering around alone will talk to you. Amazing, isn't it? 2. Try just one singles' group a month for six months. Each time you try a group, give it three strikes before you rule it out. The purpose of singles' groups is not necessarily to date. The purpose is to make friends of both sexes. "I have friends," you say. "It's just that they are all married or going with someone now." Oops, I should have said, "The purpose of singles' groups is to make friends of both sexes." Smaller Towns Check out some churches in and around your town. You are not going to meet a
significant other. You are not going to change your religious beliefs. You are going to
make friends! |
