The late Mary Kay Ash in her book Mary Kay--You Can Have It All offers the following advice for success:

• Hitch your wagon to a star.
• Find a railroad track to run on.
• Tell someone what you intend to do.
• Write that goal down on paper.

In other words, you have goals and you find a way to reach those goals.

The concept of "having goals" may appear about as tangible to singles as "having morals."  It wiggles around when you try to put your finger on it.

However, it is an aspiration most singles would agree is important.

Advice for single women  about  singles' life.

• Have no goals.
• Don't understand the difference between a goal and a dream.
• Lose track of our goals.

1. Start with dreams or how you want your life to unfold.

2. Transfer life's dreams into reality.

3. Are positive statements of what you wish to accomplish.  

4. Need to be your own aspirations--not the ambitions of someone else for you disguised as your own goals.

5. Correspond with your personal values.

Although goals are statements of what you wish to accomplish, deciding upon goals and reaching them are not easy tasks. This SOLO series will bring the power of goal-setting to your life.
