Singles Relating: One way to choose a non-abuser is to move slowly. Singles relate:

You are in love. You can't wait to get married or move in together. The last thought on your mind is that your beloved might be abusive. Then a few doubts begin to creep in your mind. Like the rage your beloved showed last week or the time he/she grabbed your arm and shook you a little. Apparently there are some
signposts along the way. Signposts that indicate much more than abuse.
There are signs that a husband or wife is the killing kind, says Dr. Robi Ludwig, psychotherapist and author of

I'm not exactly certain what "pathologically idealizes partner" means but I doubt I want to be able to define this from personal experience. What I do know is that people who are in lust should move slowly. Slow to move in together; slow to take steps in the direction of the aisle. Experts say it takes three years to form a really close relationship. I assume it takes about that long to get to know someone. Take your time... |
