What happened to all the social groups in DFW?

Regardless of the town you insert, the answer is the same.
 The internet happened.

SOLO was started in 1991 and by 1993 had helped many people start singles groups in the singles world. There were dances, happy hours, and such diverse singles groups as one which walked dogs together and another which jumped out of airplanes together.

The internet started to pick up steam in 1996 and by 1999 had done a real number on singles' groups in the DFW metroplex and other areas of the U.S., too. 

As for Dallas-Fort Worth: Although there were never as many singles' groups in Fort Worth as the rest of the metroplex, there were several that met in eastern Tarrant County, such as Funtastic, Mid-Cities Mixers, Cowtown Mariners and more. 

Don't give up on singles groups however. There are still a few around your area: Cowtown Mariners, Sierra Singles, Earth Singles to name a few. SOLO will keep reporting on the new groups and the fun groups that remain.
