Hi I have been dating a man 3x's a week for 6mos or so. He always takes me to nice places, whatever I want to do.

We do sleep together, but he
never spends the night and I rarely hear from him on weekends. He swears he is not married, but I have never seen where he lives as he works on my side of town and lives? in a suburb 45 min. away.

I pretty much can see him any time of the day between 6:30 am up to 2 am in the morning when he always leaves. This sort of tells me he is really married.

He says if he stayed the night it would be like a commitment and he doesn't know if he is ready to make one.

He told me 2 days ago "I could really fall in love with you". I said well...he just smiled. Now all of a sudden he called me both sat and sun wanting to take me to dinner or a movie or whatever I want for Monday.

What does this all mean?

He is in sales and his sales
territory is my end of the city. I could fall in love with him but I am
afraid to get hurt again.

How should I react to this?

Dear Elaine:

It sounds to me like he is married and his wife is gone for the week-end. Or... he has an opportunity to call you and keep you on the hook.

You can check him out with an investigative firm for a real answer, you know.

But even if he is unmarried and is only commitment phobic as he suggests, it sounds like it is time for you to move on.

Regardless of what you decide:

1. Find out if he is married. Affairs with married men are headed for heartbreak...

2. Set a time frame in your own mind for the breakoff point if he is still commitmentphobic.....
