Why do people join a matchmaking or dating service?
Most singles have several reasons: limited time for dating, not meeting other singles at work or where they live, tired  of  or dislike the bar scene, prefer meeting one-on-one rather than in a crowd, safety, very busy, etc.

What is the most important reason to join a service?
Finding your special person is a numbers game. The most important reason to join is to increase your exposure to other singles quickly. Connections exposes you to many, many more people than you could ever meet by chance or other methods.

Doesn't it take time to meet so many people?
Not really. Since our singles have been pre-matched for compatibility using their own specifications, a brief meeting to screen for chemistry is sufficient. You are the only person who can screen for chemistry for you. Relying on videos or photos for that screening is ineffective and can even make you miss your own special person. We do recommend that your first meeting be short, though: lunch, coffee, ice cream, etc.

What type of service is Connections?
Connections is a matchmaking, introduction service. One matchmaker interviews you, then matches you. That is the best way.

Why a matchmaking service rather than videos or some form of dating or catalog service?
After careful study of all types of services, Connections chose matchmaking because it is successful for the greatest number of people.

What do you think is the most important feature of Connections?
It is very important in all matchmaking services that the same person interview you and match you. It is hard to do a good job of matching someone you don't know. Taken one step further, it is important that one person interview everyone in a service and match everyone in that service. That is what happens at Connections. One person interviews and matches everyone in our service.

What about computers? Don't you use computer matchmaking?
No. A computer is a tool--primarily helpful because it saves time. It still can not take the place of a human brain. The Connections system of compatibility matching uses computers sparingly and only as tools. A "living, breathing, thinking" matchmaker completes the selection process for each single.  However, there is one other good use for a computer. Our membership profile is scanned and balanced by computer. This is the best way to make certain we can serve everyone in Connections.

What does that mean?
A balanced membership means we know when we interview you if you can be matched within our current membership. That is important for you and for us, too, of course.

How does the process start?
With an in-depth personal interview so you can tell us about yourself and the person you are seeking! We have offices in Tarrant County and Dallas County.

Is there any obligation if I interview?
There's no obligation for you or for Connections.

Can I see pictures at Connections?
Yes. You can see pictures when they are available and always get complete biographical details of your matches before you meet.

What is your price?
The price for 6 months of membership/introductions is $375. That is a total price with no monthly fees or other surprises!

What do you mean by 6 months of membership? Does that mean you only get 6 matches?
No. It means you are guaranteed 6 months of matches. More than one match in one month is still only one month of matches.

What if I meet someone I want to date exclusively? Will I still be getting matches?
No. When you fall in love, place your  membership on inactive status. Your membership will be placed on hold. If your relationship does not work out, you can come back to active status without losing months of your membership.

Does that mean there are guarantees for me?
Yes. You are guaranteed 6 months of introductions. They may or may not be consecutive months, however, so you can put your membership on hold.

Where would I come to interview?
There are two offices: Arlington and Dallas. The choice is yours.

Will I still be matched with the members from other offices?
Yes, you will. We maintain one large database. The two interview locations are for your convenience in interviewing. 

When can I come to interview?
We interview five days a week and some evenings by appointment. Since we have two interview offices, Bedford and north Dallas, you choose the time and place.
